You could be forgiven for mistaking Saturday's Second Semi between our Under 18s and Irymple for a mid-season match between two teams separated by a lot of space on the ladder. Instead of a typical 'top of the table' clash, our boys THUMPED the first-placed Swallows by 81 points, sending themselves straight through to the Grand Final on 14 September.
It was a joy to watch as the young Kangas put their skills on display for the crowd. Never content with single efforts, the boys fought hard and were relentless in their pursuit of the ball and their opponents. A solid team performance saw everyone get involved and contribute to the outstanding victory.
And now, not only are they the first junior Kangas side to ever make finals, they're our first premiership contenders for season 2019!
